Thanks!

Special thanks go to TekDad and TekKid (age 13), who spent many hours helping me edit and perfect the definitions (as well as participating in some lively arguments about some of them!), all for which I am very grateful.
Thanks also go to Owen (14), who tested part of the site for link integrity and did some excellent editing of definitions.
Another thank you goes to Evan (3rd grade), who is responsible for an improvement on the crossword puzzle!

Background Notes from TekMom

The background knowledge I bring to my Buzzwords for Students project comes from many years working as a computer programmer and systems analyst, as well as my current work as a computer teacher and my many Internet activities.

If you find any technical errors or would like to suggest an alternative definition that would be easier for students to understand, please help us all out by writing to tekmom@tekmom.com
I've tried hard to provide definitions that are workable for children as young as 9 yet still useful for adults, and it's been a challenge! I'd be more than grateful for any help or suggestions wherever I've "missed the mark."
