Definition:

A cable is a long, rubber-coated bundle of wires, with plugs on either end, that connects computer parts.

 

Explanation:

You need a different cable for each device you hook up to your computer. Each end plugs into a port.

 

Sentence:

"My printer didn't work because one end of the cable wasn't plugged in."

 

 

Note: Cables are also used to connect computers to other computers, and networks to other networks.
